Kim Denise started painting in the summer of 2005, when her mother and son gave her an easel as a 40th birthday gift.
A healer and intuitive, Kim infuses her paintings with a deep restorative energy. She is fascinated with the play of light and the sacredness it imparts to the humblest of objects. Her vibrant still life paintings oftenfeature glass, with a focus on reflected light and color.
"I guess they knew what they were doing… It may sound strange, but a psychic had told me several years before that creativity was necessary for my health. I took a few art classes, but then allowed time and space constraints to put my interest on the back burner. Now, I wish I hadn't waited. Since I've begun painting seriously, my life has blossomed in all directions!”
Kim's work hangs in private collections nationwide. She has exhibited in national juried pastel shows, and is a member of the International Guild of Realism, the Silver Chord Art Guild, and the Vermont Pastel Society. Kim Denise lives and paints in rural south western Vermont.
