Client Services

The Harrison Gallery is dedicated to enhancing the lives of our clients through art. Distinguished amongst fine art galleries in Williamstown, MA, we strive to represent excellence in artistic production and to provide a quality gallery environment to honor the spirit of art in each of us.

Exhibitions – Exhibitions at the Harrison Gallery change monthly and include both solo and group exhibitions of national and regional artists. The Harrison Gallery specializes in contemporary landscape painting and representational genres. The gallery carries a variety of media including paintings, works on paper, sculpture, jewelry and furniture.

Education – Understanding the place of an artist's work in the larger context of contemporary art is important to connecting with the artwork. To that end, the Gallery provides in house catalogs for each solo exhibition, and informational handouts for others. Gallery assistants are available to inform clients about artists' backgrounds and techniques.

Shipping – Two dimensional artworks are shipped in high quality containers that are plastic lined with foam padding to protect the works from damage. Three dimensional works are packed in boxes similarly padded on the interior. Artworks are shipped via FedEx unless otherwise specified. Furniture is blanket padded and shipped by a moving company that specializes in furniture. All furniture and artworks are insured in transit by the Gallery.

Framing – The Harrison Gallery offers custom framing services using museum quality acid free archival materials that are the finest available for the conservation of artwork. Artwork, photographs, textiles, historic documents and memorabilia can be framed with a variety of options including standard frames, single or double mats, shadowbox frames, double sided frames, etc. A large number of frame and mat styles are available, as are calligraphy services.

Testimonials

"For me, discovering the Harrison Gallery has been great experience. The quality and diversity of artists and work that Jo assembles is just great. I have acquired a number of wonderful pieces that delight me daily. A warning, however: it is difficult to leave the gallery empty-handed. But then I guess that is better than being disappointed and not seeing anything that you can't live without. "

- Tom Gardner

"Being a "Friend of The Harrison" is easy. It begins with JoEllen and her wonderful staff-Jillian, Jennifer and Roger-who provide a warm welcome for first time visitors and clients alike. Easy and informed conversation follows when there are questions about a particular painting or sculpture, a piece of jewelry or a framing challenge. Nobody is rushed for time. A decision to purchase is invariably a celebration, a feeling that one's life is a little richer as a result. Then, over time, there are receptions for artists and occasional studio visits to give clients the opportunity to get to know the talented human beings who have brought beauty to so many lives. "

- Don and Barbara McLucas
